eDebate was designed to be user friendly while also having a number of advanced features. Here is a brief run down of the things that you can currently do at eDebate.com

Discussion Board (The Forums)
1. Email notification when a response is posted to a thread the user creates. See when people respond to your posts, or receive e-mails relating to posts that you want to be informed about.
2. Ability to attach files to a posting on the message board. Attach the invitation to a tournament right when you post notification of it.
3. Ability to "tag" a posting with multiple keywords for ability to search later.
4. Search by author, date, keywords, subject line.
5. The ability to branch out and discuss things not directly related to debate, or things related to debate that don’t involve college debate.
6. If you don’t want e-mail notification, use can also use RSS feeds to get updates regarding posts to eDebate.com
Events
1. Create public events for everyone to rsvp to like tournaments.
2. Create private events that you send out invites to select people like squad meetings or tournament poker games.
3. Ability to comment on events.
4. Export events to an outlook or gmail calendar so you know exactly when and where those events are occurring.
Groups
1. Create groups both public and private.
2. Ability to send emails to the group privately.
3. Group creator is moderator of that specific group.
4. Private Discussion forum for each group.
5. In the private discussion area an ability to attach files to postings. Send out updates to your team, share files and flows with team members.
6. Create assignments, set deadlines, and/or organize evidence production.
Photos & Video
1. Ability to post photos and videos of tournaments, debate rounds, etc.
2. Ability to embed YouTube or other video sharing sites videos and view them through eDebate.com
3. Ability to comment on photos & videos
4. Ability to add tags to photo & videos
5. Ability to rate photos and videos.
Social Networking Features
1. Create home page for each user, group, team, and/or squad.
2. Add friends.
3. Having a "wall" feature.
4. Add custom 3rd party apps (otherwise known as widgets to your own page). Check out the site to see what’s available.
5. Chat feature for signed in users. IM other people on the site.
6. The ability to contact each user privately through an e-mail function.
7. Create a blog for each user. Talk politics, or upload your judge philosophy.
Create Polls
1. Create a custom poll and get feedback from users.
2. Comment on a poll. You might want to get feedback on a potential topic, moving from 8 round tournaments to 6 or 7 round tournaments, using the new 100 point scale, and how to improve the transition to paperless debate.
Mobile Upload Features
1. Get assigned an e-mail address to send out mobile uploads.
2. Mobile uploads can include pictures and video from your phone.
Customize Your Homepage
1. Create a theme unique to your page.
2. Change around the features of your home page to create a “feel” that works for you.
3. Adjust colors, text size, and fonts to your preference.
Ability to Import the Current Archives
1. Lots of useful information exists in the archives located at ndtceda.com
2. We have the ability to import those archives so they will not be lost.
3. You can search those archives by key words, author or date to easily find the information you are looking for.
The Ability to Expand and Grow with the Debate Community
1. This site is more than just another message board and more than a cookie cutter solution to the current problems at ndtceda.com. It is a dynamic and changing site that can be adapted to suit the needs of your team and the needs of the community.
2. We can write custom code if need be to make changes and additions to the site without having to tear it down and replace it wholesale.
